This is a presale for RateMyCoach platform access. The platform is currently in development.

• Beta Access: Begins February 2026
• Public Launch: Q2 2026 (April-June 2026)
• Platform Status: In active development

2. Refund Policy

• During Beta (First 30 Days): Full refund available within 30 days of receiving beta access
• After 30 Days of Beta Access: No refunds (you have had access to the platform)
• If Platform Doesn't Launch: If beta doesn't launch by June 30, 2026, automatic full refund to all members

3. Lifetime Access Definition

"Lifetime access" means access for as long as the RateMyCoach platform operates. This includes:

• All current features available at launch
• All future features as they are released
• No recurring payments or renewal fees

Important: If RateMyCoach is shut down, sold, or discontinued, your lifetime access ends. No refund will be provided for business closure or sale after you have had 30+ days of platform access.

4. Beta Disclaimer

Beta software may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features. By joining the beta program, you acknowledge:

• The platform may have technical issues or downtime
• Features may change or be removed during development
• We make no guarantees about uptime or feature availability during beta
• Your feedback will help improve the platform

5. Your Responsibilities

As a RateMyCoach user, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share your account
• Follow our Community Guidelines (no harassment, hate speech, illegal content, false reviews)
• Use the platform in compliance with all applicable laws
• Not attempt to hack, exploit, or abuse the platform

6. Our Responsibilities

RateMyCoach commits to:

• Provide reasonable access to the platform once launched
• Protect your personal data according to our Privacy Policy
• Process refunds according to our Refund Policy
• Communicate major updates or changes to the platform
• Maintain industry-standard security practices

7. Limitation of Liability

RateMyCoach's total liability to you for any claims related to the platform is limited to the amount you paid for your membership ($99 for parents, $249 for coaches).

We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Issues arising from third-party services or integrations
• Decisions made based on reviews or Trust Scores

8. Content and Reviews

User-Generated Content: Reviews and ratings posted on RateMyCoach are the opinions of individual users, not RateMyCoach.

• We moderate content for policy violations but cannot verify all claims
• Trust Scores are algorithmic and should be considered alongside other factors
• Coaches can dispute inaccurate reviews through our appeal process
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates our policies

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Post false, defamatory, or malicious content
• Engage in harassment or abuse
• Attempt to manipulate Trust Scores or reviews
• Use the platform for illegal purposes

If your account is terminated for violations, no refund will be provided.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance.

Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Platform Usage Data:

• Features you use and how often

• Provide the Service: Enable login, display reviews, facilitate messaging

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

RateMyCoach is designed for users ages 13 and older.

• Under 13: Requires verifiable parental consent before account creation
• Ages 13-17: May use the platform with parental awareness
• Parental Consent: We verify consent through credit card verification or ID.me

If we discover a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, we will delete it immediately.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you logged in
• Remember your preferences
• Analyze platform usage (via analytics tools)
• Improve user experience

You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work properly.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as:

• Your account is active

After Account Deletion: Most data is deleted within 30 days. Some information may be retained for legal compliance (e.g., transaction records for 7 years for tax purposes).

RateMyCoach may contain links to external websites (e.g., MaxPreps, HUDL). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. Please review their privacy policies.

Post-Launch Refund Policy

(Applies to members who join after the presale ends on January 15, 2026)

Monthly Subscriptions:

• No refunds for monthly subscriptions
• You can cancel anytime
• Platform access continues until the end of your billing period

Annual Subscriptions:

• 14-day money-back guarantee from purchase date
• After 14 days, no refunds
• You can cancel to prevent auto-renewal for the next year

3-Year Prepaid Memberships:

• 14-day money-back guarantee from purchase date
• After 14 days, no refunds

How to Request a Refund

Step 1: Email [email protected]

Step 2: Include your order number (found in your confirmation email)

Step 3: We'll process your refund within 5-7 business days

Step 4: Refund appears on your credit card in 7-10 business days (depending on your bank)

Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method:

• Credit/Debit Card: Refunded to the card used for purchase
• PayPal: Refunded to your PayPal account

We cannot issue refunds via different payment methods (e.g., if you paid by card, we cannot refund to PayPal).

What Happens After a Refund

Once your refund is processed:

• Your RateMyCoach account will be deactivated
• You will lose access to the platform
• Any data associated with your account will be deleted per our Privacy Policy
• You can re-join later at current membership rates (lifetime presale pricing will no longer be available)

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be provided in the following cases:

• After 30 Days of Beta Access: You've had adequate time to evaluate the platform
• Account Termination for Violations: If your account is terminated for violating Terms of Service
• Buyer's Remorse After Trial Period: Once the 30-day window has passed
• Platform Sale or Shutdown (After 30 Days): Lifetime access is tied to platform operation, not ownership

Partial Refunds

We do not offer partial refunds. All refunds are 100% of the amount paid.

If you purchase a coach membership ($249) and only used it as a parent, you are not eligible for a partial refund to the parent price ($99).

Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card company (chargeback) without contacting us first:

• Your account will be immediately suspended
• We will provide evidence of purchase and terms to your bank
• You may be subject to a $25 chargeback fee
